Succubus Temptation Double (淫魔てんぷてーしょん・だぶりゅ~♡♡) — Honest Review

A top-down action game where the actual fail state is a succubus talking you into giving up, and where losing is where all the animation budget went. This is the second entry in the series, it shares no story with the first, and it’s aimed squarely at people who like being on the receiving end. If you want a competent hack-and-slash that treats its erotic content as the main event rather than a reward screen, it delivers.

What works

The combat is real combat, not a thin wrapper. You get a melee attack, a ranged special, a guard, and a roll, and the system is built around the guard: land a just-guard and you fill a gauge that feeds your special attack, which turns boss fights into a rhythm of reading a pattern, eating one hit cleanly, and cashing it in. Enemies don’t just hit you — they seduce you, hit you with “sexy attacks,” and grab you, so blocking and rolling carry a different weight than they would in a normal action game. Progression runs entirely through equipment rather than experience points, and the gear slots are generous with effects that visibly matter: attack power, health, attack speed. There’s also a single free revive per run, which is the kind of small mercy that keeps you from resenting a cheap death during a boss’s second phase. The moment-to-moment feel is a bit heavy — this is deliberate weight rather than snappy character-action speed — but it pays off when you’re surrounded and mowing a group down.

Exploration got a genuine upgrade over the first game. Maps use height differences now, and a rolling jump lets you cross gaps and reach ledges that aren’t obviously part of the intended path, so poking at the edges of a stage occasionally pays out with hidden items. Statues scattered around the world permanently raise your stats. Save points double as warp destinations, so once you’ve seen a place you can hop back to it freely, and you can return to earlier stages entirely — which means missing a pickup on your first pass isn’t punished, just deferred. Across four stages the whole thing runs about three and a half hours if you’re stopping to see everything, closer to two if you’re moving with purpose.

The erotic content is the strongest part, and it’s structured so you can’t ignore it. Every H-scene is pixel animation, and the enemy roster — eleven entirely new characters, none carried over from the first game — is drawn with enough care that the seduction attacks land as intended rather than reading as a generic damage type. The protagonist hunching over and covering himself when he’s about to lose a resistance check is a nice bit of characterization done entirely in sprite work. Bosses escalate to large-scale pixel animation, with three of those big-format scenes on offer, and they’re the visual showpiece. What genuinely sets this apart from most action games in the genre is the writing volume: the scenes are loaded with taunting dirty talk, most of the gallery entries carry full text, and that’s rare in a game where the H-content is usually left to animate silently. The gallery is unlocked from the start if you’d rather skip straight to it. The femdom framing is consistent throughout — there is no turnaround where the protagonist takes control, so what you see in the tags is what you get for the full runtime.

What doesn’t

The difficulty is the main complaint, and it’s a fair one. This is noticeably more casual than the first game, sitting somewhere between easy and comfortable throughout, and there are no difficulty options to adjust it. The equipment system makes this worse in both directions: thoroughly loot a stage and you’ll overpower the next boss, skip the side paths and you’ll feel unfairly underpowered — the game doesn’t self-correct either way. Exploration itself is simple. There are no puzzles or gimmicks, just wide maps with branching paths and things to pick up, so “exploration” mostly means walking down the side corridor. If you came from the first game expecting a step up in challenge, this is a step sideways into accessibility, and people who liked the original for its bite have said so.

The runtime and scene count are also modest — roughly eighteen gallery entries over three-ish hours. That’s reasonable, but the content is narrow by design. It’s succubi, seduction, restraint, and milking, delivered with no variation in who’s in charge. There’s no secondary angle if that specific fetish isn’t yours, and the plot is a thin excuse frame that won’t carry you on its own.

Who should buy this

This is Japanese-only, with no official English support, and you should plan around that. The good news is that the action, the exploration, and the pixel animation all read fine without a word of Japanese — menus and equipment are learnable by pattern, and you’ll never be stuck wondering where to go. The bad news is that the dirty talk is the thing this game does better than its peers, and most of the scenes are text-driven, so playing raw means giving up a real chunk of what you paid for. If you can run an OCR translation overlay, do it; if you read some Japanese, this is one of the better action games to practice on because the sentences are short and the situations are unambiguous. Buy it if you’re into femdom, succubi, and being drained by them, and want actual gameplay attached. Skip it if you want a challenge or a story.

Verdict

Succubus Temptation Double — final verdict visual

8 / 10 — a polished, generous, well-animated femdom action game that trades the previous entry’s difficulty for accessibility and unusually strong scene writing, which is a good trade unless difficulty was the reason you were here.
