Hollow World (ホロウワルド) — Honest Review

Hollow World (ホロウワルド) — Honest Review

Reviewed work by Leaf Geometry · View on DLsite

Hollow World is a 25-hour fantasy RPG in which every single H-scene puts the women on top — and it arrives with the kind of player-respecting feature set that most doujin RPGs never bother with. This is Leaf Geometry’s first fully standalone title, built in RPG Maker MZ, and it’s aimed squarely at fans of femdom, reverse-assault, and older-girl-x-younger-boy content who also want a real game wrapped around their porn. If “submissive male protagonist being led around by dominant women in a fantasy world” is your lane, this one was made for you.

What works

The first thing that stands out is how deliberately this game removes friction. There’s an always-visible tracker telling you what to do next in both the main scenario and side events, you can save almost anywhere, and a party wipe carries no penalty at all. After the ending you can start a new cycle with nearly all your data intact — and notably, the circle explicitly states there are no H-scenes locked behind a second playthrough. That last point deserves real credit: NG+-gated scenes are one of the most reader-hostile habits in this genre, and Hollow World refuses to play that game. Add full message skip, auto-mode, window hiding, and a backlog, and you have a doujin RPG that treats your time like it matters.

The adult content is the other pillar, and the numbers are substantial: 60 H-scenes built on 30 base CGs, with 20 of those scenes animated. Everything is female-led — this is femdom and reverse-assault territory through and through, with the older-woman-x-younger-boy dynamic front and center and anal content in the mix for the submissive-male crowd. Beyond the standard scenes there’s a layer of repeatable H-events you can actively trigger as often as you like, plus a status screen whose standing art changes with your situation — a nice bit of ambient lewdness that isn’t even counted in the CG total. Certain enemies can also pull you into defeat scenes, so losing has its own rewards. Early player impressions back the content up: the CG work is being praised as consistently high quality, with rich, drawn-out femdom scenarios and genuine variety thanks to the number of women involved.

The gallery design rounds it out. Every scene you’ve viewed is replayable from a dedicated map, scenes you skipped on first viewing are still collected, and — crucially — you can check the unlock conditions for scenes you haven’t found yet. A handful of scenes contain more extreme content, and the game flags these with an on-screen warning and lets you skip them entirely, which is exactly how optional hard content should be handled.

What doesn’t

Hollow World — drawback example scene

Do the math on the content figures and one caveat emerges: 60 scenes on 30 base CGs means, on average, two scenes per base composition. That’s normal practice for a doujin RPG of this scale, but if you’re imagining 60 fully distinct illustrations, recalibrate — a good chunk of the count comes from variations and rework of shared art. The animation coverage (20 of 60 scenes) is generous by genre standards, but the other two-thirds are static.

The other honest caveat is commitment. Twenty-five hours is a long runtime for an adult RPG built on a stock RPG Maker MZ foundation, and however smooth the quality-of-life layer is, you’re still signing up for a lot of standard tile-map traversal and turn-based combat between scenes. The game also just released, so there’s no long-term picture yet on balance or stability — the circle explicitly tells you to run the trial version first because they won’t support environment-specific issues, so take that advice seriously.

Who should buy this

Hollow World — target audience scene

This is for femdom and reverse-assault enthusiasts — especially fans of the dominant-older-girl, submissive-boy dynamic — who enjoy earning their scenes through an actual RPG. Be aware: the game is Japanese-only, with no official English support. The good news is that RPG Maker MZ titles work well with machine-translation tools and texthookers, and the always-on objective tracker means you’re rarely lost even with imperfect translation. But this is a story-driven 25-hour RPG, not a pure gameplay piece — without Japanese or an MTL setup, you’ll be navigating a lot of text blind. The trial covers the opening with three H-scenes and carries saves into the full version, so test both your hardware and your tolerance for the language barrier before committing.

Verdict

Hollow World — final verdict visual

7.5 / 10. A confident, unusually player-respecting femdom RPG with a big pile of well-received female-led content and none of the hostile design habits that plague the genre — held back for English-speaking buyers mainly by its language barrier, its base-CG reuse, and the sheer time investment it asks for.
