Climb a legendary tower with a mysterious partner by day, then sneak in some hands-on mischief while she sleeps at the inn by night — that’s the loop The Tower: Contract is selling. This is a fantasy RPG from circle scoutswren built around a single heroine, Estelle, mixing auto-battle dungeon crawling with slice-of-life village downtime and Spine2D-animated adult scenes. If you like your eroge structured as one long, slowly deepening relationship rather than a harem buffet, this one is aimed squarely at you.
What works

The core structure is genuinely well thought out, at least on paper. The setup: a tower that has stood for thousands of years, promising adventurers wealth and glory while quietly devouring countless lives. The protagonist, a nobody scraping by on its lower floors, forms a contract with the enigmatic Estelle and sets out to reach the top and uncover the tower’s secrets. What makes the design interesting is how the adult content is threaded through every layer of the game rather than dumped in a gallery. Boss kills advance the main story, and some story beats lead into H-scenes. Choice events during the climb can hand you stat boosts, items — or an H-event. Back in the village, the night-to-dawn hours generate daily-life events that scale with your progress, ranging from idle conversation to full scenes. Progression and lewdness are the same currency here, which is exactly how a relationship-focused eroge RPG should work.
The standout system is the inn. While Estelle sleeps, you can “play” with her, and the available interactions expand gradually based on her affection level and her cumulative climax count — all while you manage a “discovery gauge” to avoid getting caught. It’s a stealth minigame grafted onto sleep-play content, and the circle has backed it with Spine2D animation for these interaction scenes plus a set of viewing scenes. Given the touch/feel and cross-section view tags, this is clearly meant to be the tactile, interactive centerpiece rather than a static CG slideshow, and tying unlock progression to a long-running affection stat gives the mischief an actual arc.

On the game side, there’s more meat than the average doujin RPG promises. Combat is a low-friction auto-battler, but the depth sits in preparation: over 100 pieces of equipment across tiers and rarities with set effects, a skill system built around combo synergies, guild quests and rank-up exams, a training ground for raising stats, and shops for gearing up. The village shifts between day and night states with different locations available, and there’s even fishing tucked in. For a lovey-dovey slice-of-life RPG, that’s a respectable amount of systems to chew on between scenes. It also ships trilingual — Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese text — with Japanese voice acting.
What doesn’t

The auto-battle is a double-edged sword. If you want to actively pilot fights, you won’t; your agency lives entirely in builds and loadouts, and the moment-to-moment combat is hands-off by design. Whether the equipment tiers, set bonuses, and skill synergies are deep enough to make that prep loop satisfying — or whether it collapses into equipping the highest number — is the big open question, and nothing in the game’s own presentation answers it. There’s also a lot of systems for a doujin-scale production: guild ranks, training, fishing, day/night scheduling, a hundred-plus item pool. Ambitious scope like this either coheres or turns into a pile of shallow menus, and buying on day one means betting on the former.
The other honest caveat is focus. This is a one-heroine game, and a large share of its signature content is sleep-play mischief on that one heroine. If Estelle’s design or the sneaky-touching premise doesn’t do it for you, there is no second route to fall back on — the lovey-dovey daily-life events and the sleep-sex content are the whole adult offering, take it or leave it.
Who should buy this

Players who want a single-heroine, affection-driven RPG where the relationship — sweet daytime, sneaky nighttime — is the actual endgame, and who specifically enjoy interactive sleep-play with animation rather than static scenes. English text is officially supported alongside Japanese and Simplified Chinese, so non-Japanese readers can jump in without a text hooker; voice acting is in Japanese. Skip it if you need active combat or a cast of multiple routes.
Verdict

7 / 10. The design — adult content woven into tower progression, an animated inn-mischief system with a discovery gauge, and a surprisingly beefy gear-and-skills layer — is one of the more coherent takes on the lewd dungeon-crawler formula, but the passive auto-battle and the sheer number of unproven systems keep it a promising package rather than a sure thing.
