Losing on purpose has rarely been this much of a feature: Heroine’s Mission is a short corruption RPG about a martial-artist spy infiltrating the evil organization that killed her parents, and about the twelve different humiliating ways that mission can go wrong. If your tastes run toward brainwashing, heroine-to-combatant conversion, and bad-end collections where defeat is the actual content, this is aimed squarely at you. If you’re after a heroic power fantasy, look elsewhere — there’s exactly one good ending, and it’s very much not the point.
What works

The setup is efficient and does its job. Tachibana Yuika, a voluptuous close-combat specialist, goes undercover inside the evil organization Jakyouder to avenge her parents — but the game tells you up front that while her fists are strong, her resistance to brainwashing is low. That one line is the whole design thesis: every trap, every moment of carelessness, is an opportunity for her to be mind-controlled, converted into a faceless grunt, transformed into a monster, or broken through pleasure training. The twelve bad endings aren’t twelve flavors of the same scene, either. The advertised range covers combatant-conversion brainwashing (which strips her of her heroine strength and leaves her a disposable mob who gets swatted aside in one hit), monster transformation, and outright species alteration — a dairy-cow modification that leaves her unable to defy men, and a bitch-dog modification that has her instinctively fawning over enemies. The sub-heroine, Shiranui Akari — a justice-obsessed transforming heroine and modern high-school girl who charges into traps headfirst — gets her own downfalls too, including being reconditioned into a masochist who climaxes from spanking. For a bad-end-focused game, variety of ruin is the core product, and this one has an honest spread.
The content density is also solid for the runtime. You’re looking at 41 base CGs (excluding standing art) with roughly 300 variation images packed into a 1–2 hour game — that’s a lot of visual payoff per minute of play. The circle also made the sensible structural choice of unlocking the recollection room after you’ve seen just one ending, so you’re not grinding through the RPG repeatedly to collect scenes you missed. A post-release patch fixed a progression-blocking bug in that recollection room and made the backlog usable mid-message, both of which matter in a game you’ll mostly experience through its scenes.

The tag spread rounds things out: mind control, trance/suggestion, tentacles, anal, big breasts, pregnancy, and plump/voluptuous bodies all make the list. Two heroines with clearly differentiated builds — the thicc brawler with a revenge motive and the reckless magical-girl type — give the corruption scenarios two distinct canvases rather than one.
What doesn’t

Be clear-eyed about what you’re buying: this is a 1–2 hour short, and structurally it’s a delivery mechanism for bad ends. With twelve losses against a single good ending, anyone hoping for meaningful triumph, or for an RPG with substance beyond its traps, will find the balance lopsided by design. The brevity also means that once you’ve unlocked the gallery, the game itself has largely served its purpose.
The fetish focus is narrow, and the creator says so themselves — the breast-and-anal ratio is high “due to the creator’s tastes,” by their own warning. If anal content isn’t your thing, a meaningful chunk of those 300 variations is going to miss you entirely. And while the 7/16 patch fixed the recollection-room softlock and the backlog issue, the fact that a scene-gallery bug shipped at all in a gallery-centric game suggests initial QA was thin. It’s fixed now, but it’s worth noting.
Who should buy this

This is a Japanese-only release with no official English support, so factor that in. The good news for English speakers: it’s a short RPG where the draw is losing fights and collecting CG-heavy defeat scenes, so basic navigation is very manageable without reading Japanese — you can reach bad ends by simply playing badly, and the easily-unlocked recollection room does the rest. That said, brainwashing and trance content lives partly in its text, so running a texthooker with machine translation will get you considerably more out of the conditioning scenes than clicking through raw Japanese. Buy it if you’re a corruption/bad-end enjoyer with a tolerance (or appetite) for heavy breast and anal content; skip it if you need story length, a winnable power fantasy, or English text out of the box.
Verdict

7 / 10. Heroine’s Mission knows exactly what it is — a compact, variation-dense catalog of heroine downfalls with an honest content warning attached — and it’s held back only by its short runtime and deliberately narrow fetish focus, not by any failure to deliver what it advertises.
